As an industry partner from previous positions at Dalsem and Megaphoton, he already had a link with CODEMA. De Goeij has the necessary international knowledge and experience, gained in large and small companies, inside and outside the horticultural sector. With the arrival of De Goeij, CODEMA’s management team is up to strength.
“CODEMA is a beautiful company,” says Robert-Jan. “Their dedication to quality and years of knowledge is at the heart of this company. As an outsider, I saw CODEMA as a brand taking shape more and more. I see it as a challenge to develop CODEMA together as one strong brand. When customers think of logistics, irrigation or horticultural software, CODEMA must be the first to come to mind. ”
After his training at Nyenrode Business University and several management positions abroad, a job in horticulture came by chance into the path of Robert-Jan de Goeij. First at greenhouse builder Dalsem and then at Megaphoton, supplier of assimilation lighting. What attracted him as a ‘horticultural’ alien to our sector? “The international aspect and the leading position that the Netherlands plays in this world immediately attracted me. I also found the enormous knowledge of the people who operate in this market very special. I am proud to work with my team to give CODEMA a leading place in that world.
Managing Director Marcel Koolen is excited about the arrival of CODEMA’s new commercial director. “Robert-Jan, with his international knowledge and commercial experience, is a strong addition to our company. Besides, I know him as an accessible person who is genuinely interested in people. Both to employees and customers. I am confident that together with our 200 enthusiastic and skilled employees, we will continue to develop the stable course that CODEMA is now sailing as a supplier of total solutions.”
Since 1958, CODEMA has been providing essential custom-made horticultural solutions for the horticultural sector. As HAWE, the first steps were taken at the time to improve internal logistics in greenhouses with container tables. With successful acquisitions of aluminium manufacturer WEVAB, software supplier SDF and specialist in water and process automation B-E De Lier, a complete supplier of horticultural solutions was created in 2011. Customized solutions for irrigation, climate control, engineering and construction, cultivation systems, electrical engineering and lighting, and software and internet solutions.
